Savannah Bananas

If you’ve never seen Banana Ball, picture the Harlem Globetrotters… but for baseball. Trick plays, choreographed dances, comedic antics, surprise celebrity guests—it’s baseball turned into a full‑blown performance. The fanbase is intense in the best way, and honestly, I’m still not sure who had more fun: the kids or the adults acting like kids.

Tickets

Demand is extremely high. You don’t simply buy tickets—you enter a lottery for the chance to buy them. Once you experience the show, the hype makes sense.

Hot Tips for Tickets

Cost

At Yankee Stadium, tickets were $40–$60. Most of the action happens along the first and third baselines. Outfield seats are less exciting, and we’d think twice before choosing them again.

Pricing Category: Anywhere from Any Given Sunday to Special Occasion, depending on how many tickets you need. We treated ours as a special occasion gift because they’re so hard to get.

Who Is This For?

  • Adults

  • Kids

  • Use caution with children under six. We started the game surrounded by families with young kids, and all of them left by mid‑game.

Transportation

Transportation varies by stadium. For Yankee Stadium specifics, refer to your Yankee Stadium review.

ADA Information

ADA access varies by stadium. For Yankee Stadium details, see your Yankee Stadium review.

Packing List

Recommended for any outdoor sporting event:

  • Sunscreen

  • Empty plastic water bottle

  • Hat

  • Portable charger + cords

  • Snacks (if allowed)

  • Poncho (if rain is possible)

  • Blanket (winter games)

  • Seat cushions (optional)

Our Experience

This game is a perfect example of why we write these reviews—we take the hits so you don’t have to. Overall, we had a great time, but here’s what we learned.

Do

  • Create as many Fans First accounts as possible to increase your lottery odds.

  • Arrive early for autographs.

  • Plan your eating. We ate when gates opened and were starving by the end. Food lines were so long we would’ve missed the game.

  • Reconsider outfield seats. Baseline is where the magic happens.

  • Manage expectations during autograph time:

    • Popular players = 2–3 autographs

    • Lesser‑known players = 10+ autographs We chose quantity and got ~10 Bananas and 4 Party Animals.

Don’t

  • Stay at the stadium all morning after the autograph session. We wish we’d left for a meal and returned for the player parade.

  • Enter the stadium too early. Antics don’t begin until about 90 minutes before game time.

  • Feel pressured to buy souvenirs at the game. The website sells the same merch with free shipping.

Agenda

  • (Optional) Bring breakfast to eat while waiting for the autograph area to open. Arrive ~30 minutes before gates open.

  • Get a meal nearby after the signing session.

  • Return for the player parade.

  • March into the stadium with the players.

  • Watch the game.
